So I don’t have any target races in the March timeframe but decided to loosely follow the 5k 2k March program with some adjustments. My primary races this upcoming season are Masters Regionals and HOCR. I will likely do others but not trying to peak for any of those.

This morning I mistakenly did yesterdays workout from the CRASHB plan (Cat III – 5×3’/3’r) and it was hard but doable (barely). I have not done a 20′ test yet but I did a 5k test back in August (1:47.3 avg) and used that spilt -2 (1:45) per Cat III which was probably a bit ambitious but did manage to just go under. Is it correct to assume that Cat III and II workouts are meant to be very hard, i.e. RPE 9+?

Also in looking at the definition of the Cat II pace, that would put me more or less on my 2k pace (at least what it was back in March haha). Does that sound about right?

Is this the right place to be posting these types of questions/comments?
