Advocacy

Faster Masters Rowing is an education business serving adult rowers. We advocate for masters – seeking ways to improve the sport for us. We are the driving force of progress in our sport.   By working to identify solutions and co-ordinate efforts of participants, together we work to bring about changes that will make our rowing world a better place.

Raising awareness of masters rowing around the world, we explain how masters are different from youth rowers – why we need to be treated differently and how we can be supported differently. We write, broadcast, advocate and publish in support of this goal.

We want masters to have opportunity to row together, get access to good boats, equipment and coaching, and to meet to compete and socialise with other masters rowers.

Since 2019, these 4 improvements we have either started or socialized to get more uptake

We welcome discussions with individuals, clubs and regattas about more ways to improve rowing for masters.

Improving Rowing for Masters

Our work to advocate for masters rowing happens in 3 ways
  1. with athletes – connecting them with others, educating and inspiring
  2. with clubs – enabling them to provide a masters-suitable training environment for those who want to compete, for recreational rowers and adult beginners
  3. with federations – memberships suitable for masters, education and coach certification for masters
Let’s spread the word together.
