About Your Instructor

Manny Valentin is the head men's and women's crew coach at Skidmore College, where he was named Regional Coach of the Year by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association following his second season. A former standout collegiate rower at Ithaca College and holder of an advanced degree in sports psychology, Valentin has coached athletes to success at the national and international levels, including a men's lightweight quad that competed in the 2018 World Championships. Prior to Skidmore, he served as head varsity boys coach at the Saratoga Rowing Association and held coaching positions with ARION and the Sagamore Rowing Association.
